Stampless postcard (unused) issued to commemorate 50 years of Gallery of Contemporary Art (Galeria Sztuki Współczesnej) in Opole (Poland). The cachet shows an World Press Photo award-winning photograph by BRENT STIRTON of South Africa. The photograph was taken in Virunga National Park (Bukima, Eastern Congo) in July 2007. It shows conservation rangers of an anti-poaching unit working with locals to evacuate the bodies of four mountain gorillas killed in mysterious circumstances in the Park.
