Postcard (viewcard) presenting view of the Eastman Building - School of Industrial and Household Arts, Mechanics Institute in Rochester (New York, USA), founded and supported financially by GEORGE EASTMAN, the founder of Eastman Kodak Co. The building was open in 1901. The institute adopted the name Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT) in 1944 and awarded its first bachelor of science degree in 1955.
