Business stationery (postcard, front of, with red advertising meter) used by the company KILFITT [Heinz Kilfitt],Optische Fabrik in Großhesselohe-München. The company was founded by Heinz Kilfitt [Heinrich Wilhelm Kilfitt] (1898 – 1980), camera and lens designer and manufacturer. He is best known for the design of ROBOT spring-powered camera and of 35mm SLR camera MECAFLEX. Photographic lenses of a series “Kilar” were made for many types of cameras like Alpa, Exakta, Pentacon Six and others. In 1960s he has designed and made (in one copy only) a Kilfitt UKA659 prototype camerawatch. It was priced 60 000 €.
The meter reads: “Weltruf durch Leistung” [“Worldwide reputation through performance”].
