The BJP is claimed to be the longest-running photographic periodical. It was established as a monthly journal in 1854 but became a weekly in 1864, and remained weekly until 2000. Both publications were published by the company Henry Greenwood & Co. Ltd. in London. Presently the BJP is published by Aptitude Media as a monthly both in print, and as online edition.
