Cover with special cancel PHOTOKINA 56, informing of international trade fair of photography in Cologne (Köln, Germany), to be open 29 September – 7 October 1956. This was the fifth fair as the first one had place in 1950 and was devoted exclusively to German companies to promote the German photographic industry. In April 1952 there was the third and final annual Photokina, it then went biennial, with a gap March 1963 – October 1966.
