S. Wachtl (1868 – 1934) learnt photography and photographic trade when he worked in his father’s company Eisenschiml & Wachtl. In 1896, after death of his father, he took over the company and expanded the company's offer with products from many famous photo companies and projection equipment, sometimes selling their products under own brand name.
