Business stationery (cover, with red advertising meter) used by the company BYK-GULDENWERKE, a chemical factory in Berlin (Germany), to initially produce pharmaceuticals in Berlin (other products to follow). It was established by Dr. Heinrich Byk (1845 – 1923), doctor of chemistry in 1873. In 1917 the Byk business was merged with Paul Gulden company and was renamed as Byk-Guldenwerke Chemische Fabrik AG. Acquiring in 1931 the company Ernst Lomberg Photochemische Produkte, enabled Byk-Guldenwerke production and marketing photographic materials – films, plates, papers and chemicals, as it is specified by the red meter.
