It was established in 1895 when it emerged from Amateur-Photographen-Verein [Amateur Photographers’ Association] that was founded 4 years earlier. The society organized almost regularly (annually) international photo exhibitions in the Hamburg Kunsthalle. The card served as an invitation to a club meeting.
