George Hale (1874 – 1957) was a photographer who ran a studio and a shop with photographic equipment and materials. He photographed nearly every facet of Claremont’s heyday, from the late 1890s to the 1930s. Collection of his photographs was forgotten for over 40 years and discovered after 2000, and then shown at exhibition.
