Cover with a stamp “A View of Coke Chapel” of a 4-stamp set presenting lithographs based on daguerreotypes by Adolphe DUPERLY (1801 – 1864). A. Duperly, of French descent pioneer of photography in Jamaica, originally engraver, lithographer and printer, established photographic (daguerreotype) business in 1842, and it was continued by next generations of his family, also by his grandson Oscar Duperly in Medellin (Colombia). Photography is still practised in the family.
