The company changed its official name to Soligor to match the brand name used in its optical products, as Soligor was originally the trade mark for the American Allied Impex Corp. used from 1956 for lenses and (later) cameras imported from Japan. The cover bears stamped relevant blue meter advertising Soligor and Elmo products.
