Business stationery (postcard, back of) used by the company Graphic Arts Institute Dr. TRENKLER & Co. [Phototechnisches Institut Dr. TRENKLER & Co.] in Leipzig (Germany). The company was founded by Bruno Trenkler (1863 – 1926) in 1894. He received a PhD degree in chemistry in 1887. The company was initially a small print shop employing 5 workers, but expanded into big business enterprise and exceeded the level of 700 persons employment (1909). Its main line of production were postcards (2 - 3 million of them shipped weekly to customers).
