Special cancel (CTO) commemorating the 17th PHOTO RECON SQDN. The squadron was established in mid-1942 and equipped with very-long range P-38 Lightning reconnaissance aircraft. It flew unarmed hazardous missions over enemy-held territories of Pacific area.
