Commemorative cover (unused) issued to honor the achievement of unmanned space probe LUNA 3 (aka LUNIK 3) that on 7 October 1959 photographed the other side of the Moon and transferred the image onto Earth. The cachet shows imaginary graphic representation of the probe’s way to take photographs of the invisible side of the Moon.
