Meter advertising range of 35 mm SLR cameras ASAHI PENTAX, manufactured by Asahi Optical Co. Ltd, as “Handy camera - world proven system” [Handlicher Kamera Welterprobtes System]. The company Asahi was the first to introduce TTL (Through-the-Lens) exposure metering system (Pentax Spotmatic 1964) and SMC (Super Multi Coating) Takumar lenses. SMC consisted of 7 chemically applied coatings over the front of the lens, that reduced reflection, improved reproduction of colors and overall performance of the lens.
