Special cancel honoring captain EDUARD SPELTERINI (1852 – 1931), a balloon pilot who has been known and respected for aerial photographs taken during his numerous flights. It was used in small village Bazenheid, E. Spelterini’s birthplace.
The cancel is impressed on a German (DDR) pre-stamped postcard.
