The Fuji Hunt company came into being in 1989 when photo division of Olin Hunt Specialty Products in was sold to Fuji Photo Film Co. in Toyo (Japan). The Olin Hunt Specialty Products was made when the Hunt Chemicals plant in Sint-Niklaas (Belgium) was acquired by Olin Corporation. Hunt Chemicals was a company founded in 1905 in Brooklyn (New York, USA) to produce chemicals for photography.
