Meter advertising the Press Photographers’ Agency RAPHO [Agence de Presse Photographique] in Paris (France). The agency was founded in 1933 by Charles Rado (1899 – 1979), a Hungarian immigrant. Its name is an acronym combined of the words RAdo and PHOto. It is considered one of the oldest press agencies specializing in humanistic photography. Among first members were other Hungarian refugees - Brassaȉ, Nora Dumas, Ergy Landau and Ylla.
