Mr. Frey has been active in the photographic business for over half century – first as an employee of photographer L. C. Mundy (1873), then as Gardner & Frey company (1887, after purchasing L. C. Mundy’s store) and finally, as independent owner of the studio, continued under his own name.He was also active member in photographic movement, fulfilling function of president of New York State Photographic Society in the years 1922 and 1923, and serving five terms as vice-president of the organization.
