EPRY & JACQUELIN in Paris (France), successors of the company LEREBOURS & SECRETAN – a manufacturer of optical instruments, one of the oldest in France. The L & S company besides numerous scientific and measuring optical instruments produced also photographic lenses, including the Petzval lens, and daguerreotype cameras. Noël Marie Paymal LEREBOURS (1807 – 1873) was optician and active daguerreotypist, and Marc Francois Louis SECRETAN (1804 – 1877) was professor of astronomy.
