Meter advertising range of 35 mm SLR cameras ASAHI PENTAX manufactured by Asahi Optical Co. Ltd., printed on the company’s stationery. The company Asahi was the first to introduce TTL (Through-the-Lens) exposure metering system (Pentax Spotmatic 1964) and SMC (Super Multi Coating) Takumar lenses. SMC consisted of 7 chemically applied coatings over the front of the lens, that reduced reflection, improved reproduction of colors and overall performance of the lens.
