The company Wellington (earlier Wellington & Ward, of Elstree, Herts) was named after its owner James Booker Blakemore Wellington (1858 -1939), aka J.B.B. Wellington, English photographer and entrepreneur. The company started with production of photographic paper, expanding over time its activity to production of plates and films. In 1922 the company acquired the company Leto Photo Materials Ltd., and seven years later was taken over by Ilford Limited. The letter was addressed to Mr. V. [Václav] Linhart of Turnov, photographic studio.
