Special postcard (viewcard, back of) issued in 1952 to commemorate the WORLD EXHIBITION OF PHOTOGRAPHY [Weltausstellung der Photographie] that was held in Lucerne (Luzern, Switzerland) 15 May – 30 July 1952. It was the first world exhibition of photography for which invited were professional photographers from all over the world. The photograph presents the landmark of the exhibition that was the approximately 40 meter high wooden photo tower.
