Business stationery (cover of a registered letter, front of) used by the company OPW Warschau (Optische Präzisions-Werke G.m.b.H.) [Optyczno-Precyzyjna Wytwórnia Sp. z o.o.]. It was Polish plant Polskie Zakłady Optyczne in Warszawa that was seized in 1939 by German occupation authorities and renamed to OPW Warschau. Polish workers were maintained to run the factory but it was managed by German supervisors from the optical company Carl Zeiss in Jena. The entire production of the plant was subordinated to the needs of the German army.
