It was founded in 1904 as Carl Neithold AG. The company used also to sell various photo products of other manufacturers – their own products were most often named with a prefix “Ce-Nei”. In 1920 C. Neithold founded, together with Alfred Krauth, another company – Stereo-Indopur Gesellschaft, to expand production into stereophotographs and viewers.
