Business stationery (cover) used by the INSTITUT INTERNATIONAL de PHOTOGRAPHIE in Brussel (Bruxelles, Belgium). It was founded in 1905 with the aim of assembling collections of images, a new source of documentation for researchers. The International Institute of Photography was to be integrated into the work of the International Institute of Bibliography. Originator of the idea of the institute (and one of the founders) was ERNEST de POTTER (1875 – 1924), editor of the "Bulletin du Photo-Club de Belgique" (1897-1901), then of the "Revue Belge de Photographie" (1902-1905), then of the "Revue Internationale de Photographie" (1906-1913).
