Business stationery (cover) used by the company ACTIEN-GESELLSCHAFT für ANILINEN-FABRIKATION (Photographische Abteilung) in Berlin (Germany). The letter was addressed to Dr. Heinrich Byk’s Chemical Factory in Lehnitz. A chemical factory to initially produce pharmaceuticals in Berlin (other products to follow), was established by Dr. Heinrich Byk (1845 – 1923), doctor of chemistry in 1873. In 1917 the Byk business was merged with Paul Gulden company and was renamed as Byk-Guldenwerke Chemische Fabrik AG. Acquiring in 1931 the company Ernst Lomberg Photochemische Produkte, enabled Byk-Guldenwerke production and marketing photographic materials – films, plates, papers and chemicals.
