Stamp, in form of a souvenir sheet, honoring HENRI MARIE COANDĂ (1886 - 1972), Romanian inventor, pioneer of aviation. Unfortunately, instead of portrait of Coandă, shown was on the margin outside the stamp portrait of Nikola Tesla (horizontally reversed sides) based upon the photograph taken in New York (c:a 1890) by Napoleon Sarony (1821 - 1896), American portrait photographer and lithographer.
Such bloomers happen sometimes in postal issues of different countries, and they are most often resulting from a lack of knowledge of history, inattention or ineptitude of stamp makers.
