Set of 4 stamps in form of a souvenir sheet issued to commemorate the 30th anniversary of the first landing on Mars by the automatic space probe VIKING 1. The landing took place on 20th of July 1976. In the following days the probe took color photographs of the lander's surroundings and transmitted them to Earth. Reproductions of three of them are presented by the stamps.
