The red meter advertises the city of Wolfen as “The birthplace of Agfacolor films” [“Die Geburstsstätte des Agfacolorfilms”]. In 1964, after license negotiations, the East German Agfa agreed to change its name to ORWO (acronym of the words “ORiginal WOlfen”.
