Souvenir sheet of 4-stamp set “ART IN NATURE” issued to “illustrate just why Australia’s vast, magnificent and diverse landscape is so revered and mythologized”. The stamps feature aerial photography to present abstracted pictorial spaces that are recognizably landscapes byt which also express a painterly quality. Christian Fletcher (b. 1965) photographed Shark Bay, Lake MacDonnell and Wyadup Rocks on a Digital Phase One IQ280 80 Mpix camera, from a Cessna plane, and Richard Woldendorp (b. 1927) shot Cape Capricorn on an analogue camera Pentax 6x7, using Ektachrome 100 film.
