Business stationery (cover) used by the company ERKER BROS OPTICAL Co. in St. Louis (Missouri, USA). The company was founded in 1879 by A. P. Erker, photographer – one of the official photographers of 1904 World’s Fair in St. Louis. His brother, August Erker joined the company later. The Erkers used to sell “everything with a lens, from eyeglasses, sunglasses, prescription lenses to cameras, goggles and microscopes”. In the mid-1900s, Erkers opened the most advanced optical laboratory in the US. They manufactured cut and grinded lenses for all types of optical frames, using the most state-of-the-art technology at that time.
