Business stationery (unused cover) used by the studio K.U.K. Hof- und K.U.K. Kammer-Photograph CARL PIETZNER in Graz (Austria). Carl Pietzner’s (1853 – 1927) career has begun in 1864 when he started to work in Harnecker Studio in Wriezen as a retoucher and copyist. In further years he worked in Berlin, St. Petersburg, Moscow and Warsaw. His first own studio was set up in Teplitz in 1877 and branches were soon open in other cities, also in Vienna (1892). A year later he received the title of Emperor’s Court photographer.
