Business stationery (cover) used by the studio Photographie Artistique EILERTSEN in Epinal (France). The studio was established by Hans Peder Eilertsen (1860 – 1930). He was apprenticed as a photographer in the Wilhelm Dreesen studio in Flensburg. His photographic career started when in 1885 he opened his first photographic studio in Copenhagen (Denmark), The same year he was enrolled as a member in the Danish Photographers’ Association. In 1888 he moved to France and settled in Epinal, where he made name as a photographer. In 1905 he returned to Denmark and settled in Hellerup, where four years later he opened his new studio in newly built property. He worked there until his death in 1930.
