Business stationery (cover/mailer) used by the ICPS conference organizing committee in Berlin (Germany [DDR]) and was sent to Polish scientist. ICPS stands for International Conference on Photographic Science [Internationaler Kongress der Fotografischen Wissenschaften]. The conference was to be held in the days 1 – 8 September 1974. The cover bears red meter advertising the State Enterprise Photochemical Works in Berlin [VEB Fotochemische Werke Berlin], a state enterprise manufacturing films and chemicals for photography. The factory occupied buildings and premises taken over from the former Kodak AG (Köpenick) company where DEKOPAN b/w films, x-ray films and chemicals were manufactured under Kodak brand name until mid-1960s. After political system transformation, the property was in 1992 returned to the rightful owner, the Eastman Kodak Company of Rochester (USA).
