Stamp issued in form of a souvenir sheet, issued to commemorate two personalities: Princess Grace of Monaco [Grace Kelly] and HERCULE FLORENCE (1804 – 1879), Monegasque-Brazilian painter and inventor of photographic negative/positive process called “Photographie” [the term was used at least four years before John Herschel coined the word “Photography”] . For some reasons (he lived in undeveloped and remote province), he was never internationally recognized as one of the inventors of photography.
