Business stationery (cover) used by the photographic studio GOTTFRIED WURBS in Friedland (Germany). G. Wurbs (1874 – 1970) was an apprentice to the photographic studio owned by his father-in-law – Anton Hausmann, who since 1887 was portrait and landscape photographer. At the beginning of 1920s the studio was taken over by Wurbs. Continuing the basic activity – portraits, wedding and industrial photography, he expanded it into making photographs for magazines and newspapers, publishing books with own photographs and photographing surrounding landscapes and local architecture.
