Cover issued to honor JAKOW DAWIDSON (aka Yakov [Yakoff] Davidson), photographer. J. Dawidson (1912 – 1998), after a 2-year photography course, started to work as staff photographer for the journal “Kolchosnik Ukrainy”. During WWII he was posted to document effects of a guerilla warfare. After the War, he represented the newspaper “Radianska Ukraina”, organ of Central Committee of the Communist Party of Ukraine.
