Business stationery used by the photographer J. [James] W. [William] SHIPLER (1849 – 1937) of Salt Lake City (Utah, USA), one of the first non-Mormon photographers in the state. Since opening his studio, apart commercial photography, Shipler for about 20 years (1890 – 1910) photographed development and changes in Salt Lake City. His successors (son, grandson and great grandson) dominated the Utah photography for almost 100 years.
