The letter was addressed to Madame Marcelle CLERGEAU (1903 – 1984), daughter of clockmaker and photographer Louis CLERGEAU (1877 – 1964). Louis Clergeau photographed daily life of people of the village Pontlevoy and other places, and is considered pioneer of French sociological photography. His daughter cataloged and organized his legacy to make it over to museum.
